This presentation simply represents general applications and we do not condone the usage of artists names in prompting. Information to do this available in Pyro’s Lab artspace.

What Does Magma AI Offer to Artists?

Since the introduction of AI image generation, artists globally have been experimenting with these tools in their existing workflows, while also exploring the ethical and moral concerns in how trending models are trained and utilized. We are on a mission to do the most we can as a company & a community to deploy ethical solutions that protect the artist while retaining value in using AI solutions along with pure creation workflows.

The Issues:

  • Unethically trained models. The majority of AI models are considered by most to be trained unethically

  • Protections and monetary value for the artist and their work

  • The need for efficient methods when using AI as an assistant to generate images, while supporting the continued need for the artists and their skills to be of top priority in creative pursuits

How Does Magma Solve These Issues?

We continue to see a bridge where these two can coexist and propose solutions to directly counteract these issues, while seeking to connect with the artistic mind and find common ground.

Current Functionality:

  • Magma AI blocks the use of artists’ names in prompts unless the artist has given explicit permission. With an existing & ongoing database, users have the ability to submit names to be excluded from prompting functionality.

  • AI content is permanently marked as AI. This means that if AI was used in the canvas, the layer will be tagged as “AI” permanently, to improve transparency amongst collaborators.

  • Complete prompt history record for every canvas. This means that in any canvas everyone is able to see all the prompts that were used in the entire canvas timeline for transparency in collaborative art.

  • Magma’s layer AI tagging system along with prompt history records are well-equipped to help artists prove human ownership.

In Development:

  • Enabling artists to detect, license, and monetize their styles

  • Metadata/signature in downloaded artworks to improve AI visibility on artwork shared outside of Magma
